A man discovered his parents’ smart coffee maker used 1TB of data in just 10 days. The device generated significant network traffic, overwhelming part of the home Wi-Fi setup. Most of the data stayed within the home network, suggesting a potential bug in the device. The man, with over a decade of IT experience, decided not to investigate further and recommended disconnecting the device to prevent network saturation.
