OpenAI Doubles ChatGPT Pro Usage Limits After Reversing Cuts

OpenAI reversed its planned reduction in usage limits for ChatGPT Pro subscribers after customer feedback. The company announced it would double all usage limits for the $100, $200, and $500 Pro tiers as well as Business Premium, effective immediately. The change preserves Work and Codex usage allowances, which are shared under eligible subscriptions.

The company had planned to reduce usage for Pro 200 subscribers after October 29 while keeping the subscription price at $200 per month. Following customer feedback, it chose to double limits instead. OpenAI also continues offering extended usage limits for Dots, keeping such usage separate from default allowances.
