New 'I ♥ RSS' directory rallies fans of the open syndication format

Developer Andrew Shell has launched “I ♥ RSS,” a public directory where people who use and advocate for RSS can list their websites. The project offers a badge that participants can drop into their site footers to signal their affiliation, and its homepage features a live blogroll of member sites generated through Dave Winer’s FeedLand service.

The effort is a small piece of the broader indie-web and open-syndication revival, where enthusiasts push back against algorithmic, platform-controlled feeds in favor of user-owned, decentralized content distribution.
