Dutch consumer group launches class action over PlayStation Store game prices

A Dutch mass-claim organization (massaschadeconsument.nl) is recruiting PlayStation owners for a collective lawsuit against Sony, arguing the company abuses a closed digital marketplace to overcharge for games. The core complaint: titles in the PlayStation Store frequently cost €20–25 more than physical copies, despite digital distribution carrying no disc-pressing, packaging, or logistics costs, and digital prices rarely fall as a game ages the way retail prices do. The suit is structured as no-cure-no-pay — participants pay nothing unless it succeeds, in which case a share of any awarded damages covers the costs.
