Duskers, the cult command-line horror game, gets a sequel funded by Stray Signal

Misfits Attic has announced Duskers 2.0, revealing a teaser trailer during PC Gamer’s PC Gaming Show. The original Duskers is a text-and-terminal survival horror game where you pilot salvage drones through derelict spaceships via typed commands — it won more than 20 awards, holds a 90% positive rating on Steam, and earned back over ten times its budget. The sequel arrives as the first game marries funded by Stray Signal, a new project fund launched by Max McGuire, co-founder of Unknown Worlds (Subnautica, Natural Selection 2). McGuire signed the deal two weeks after seeing developer Tim Keenan pitch at Elbow Grease Games’ GDC Demo Day, and he plans to contribute directly to the game’s codebase.
