Anthropic Releases Claude Haiku 5.5, Matches OpenAI Pricing

Anthropic has introduced Claude Haiku 5.5, a faster and more cost-effective model compared to its predecessor, Haiku 4.5. The new model matches the pricing of OpenAI’s GPT-6 Luna up to 100,000 tokens, at $0.10 per million input and $0.50 per million output. Beyond this limit, the price increases significantly. Haiku 5.5 also features a new tokenizer, which results in a hidden price increase due to higher token usage. For workloads within the 100,000 token limit, Haiku 5.5 offers better benchmark scores than Luna, but Luna becomes more cost-effective for larger workloads.
